S3 Social Enterprise The S3 Social Enterprise Elective have been working hard this year – teaming up with Tsukure Hub , then our fab Design and Technology Dept , the Barista Elective and the Accounting Elective . Most recently the S3 Social Enterprise and Barista class were working together to sell coffee and cakes to staff on a Friday afternoon . The Enterprise team helped advertise and collate orders while the Barista team were responsible for making the delicious coffee and treats . They then worked with the S3 Accounting class who tracked orders and payments , sending out weekly invoices to staff with amounts left to pay . A great team effort .

The group were visited by the Social Enterprise Academy along with a visitor from America keen to see how Social Enterprise was being delivered in Scotland . Students were interviewed and quizzed on their business plan for the year . The visit was successful and we are delighted to announce that we received the Social Enterprise Schools Award for this year . Representatives from both classes were invited to attend an Awards Ceremony in Edinburgh accompanies by Miss Dorrian and Mrs Maxwell and received the award for the school . Thanks to everyone who worked with and bought from the groups throughout the year ! Using the school ’ s coffee machines , they are learning how to make a variety of coffees and hot chocolate . Every Friday , the S3s sell coffee and cake to the school staff that have ordered these during the week via an online order .
