The Micah Project , which is a Christian lead charity based in St Meddans in Troon drove out to Poland to help with the refugees of Ukraine . Three cars with 6 people from churches around Ayrshire took with them donations from Marr College and from the people of Troon . The project managed to raise over £ 13,000 along with the £ 2,700 from Marr ! They drove down to Newcastle and took the overnight ferry to Amsterdam , then drove through Holland and Germany , then finally arriving in Warsaw , Poland .
The Micah Project and other members of churches in Troon are going back to Poland on the 27th May to give out more donations and to keep up with the relationships made in their previous trip .
Two women from my church were 2 of the 6 volunteers and my friend Heather told me all about the trip for me to write about it !
