N5 / Higher Admin & IT Guest Speaker

Colin Millar , who is the Coxswain at Troon Lifeboat , came to talk to National 5 and Higher Administration & IT pupils about health and safety in his workplace .
The pupils had been studying health and safety for a few weeks and this visit allowed them to see what they had been learning about in action .
Colin said he really enjoyed the visit and that he loves speaking to others about his job .
Students had the chance to ask Colin lots of questions about his job at the end of the presentation – we really appreciate him taking the time to come and speak to us here at Marr College and hope he can visit again next year !
Troon Santa Letters !
They had a great visit and it rounded off the topic in a nice way .
We were delighted to be able to partner with Troon Primary again to take part in one of our favourite festive projects ! Each year the P3 students from Troon Primary write letters to Santa and our S3 Administration & IT students use their mail merge skills to write personalised letters in return … on behalf of Santa and Elves of course !
A lovely way for our students to put their learning into practice .
