S1 STEM - National Spaceport Competition
To promote STEM in S1 entered four teams into The National Spaceport Competition . This competition is run nationally by Lockheed Martin to allow young people to design and build a spaceport . The competition seen the young people analyse information and work within set constraints to create designs based on a brief .
Over 1500 pupils entered throughout the country which provided some tough competition . A massive congratulations to Holly , Isla , Niamh and Ailsa who led the way for Marr and came 3rd overall ! The girls won £ 100 STEM grant for the school and were awarded with a trophy .
S1 Football Victory
Well done to the S1 Challenge Match Football Team who started their season with a 7-2 victory over St Joseph ’ s Academy .
