Tempers are getting short . Everywhere .
I wouldn ’ t necessarily attribute this to the new Trump administration ’ s executive orders and / or the senate confirmation hearings drama surrounding these new appointments to the country ’ s leading cabinet positions .

Because as the old saying goes , “ People usually vote their pocketbooks .”
When there is volatility in your personal cash flow and you ’ ve got to make a choice , you do the best you can for your family .
I ’ ve even had to tighten up on my end . ( And , I ain ’ t got much .) More and more , a scrambling effect is happening among Black folks . No doubt , there .
I deliberately stay away from the term “ people of color ” for a number of reasons . Among the many , the primary reason is that I see folks from India , for example , every day that don ’ t seem to be concerned about what ’ s going on in this country .
They ’ re already here .
Meanwhile , plenty of folks watch these cable news shows religiously and hear the varied invited guests talking about this issue or that --- under the rubric of inclusion . I wouldn ’ t bet my bottom dollar on it , though .
Not if you ’ re a Black Man of a certain age and you ’ re asking anybody for anything .
Yet , many still cling to the remnants of the Obama administration . That ’ s cool . But , do these same folks realize that former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were just vacationing with billionaire Sir Richard Branson in the British Virgin Islands ?
