GARDEN
MAKE A FRESH START
Start with a thorough spring clean. Remove tired annuals that have reached the end of their growing cycle and add suitable plant material to the compost heap. Cut back dormant or untidy herbaceous perennials where appropriate and remove plants that have died or simply aren’ t working in the garden anymore. It may feel ruthless, but clearing out tired or overcrowded planting creates space for something new.
“ Even a small garden can undergo a big transformation with a few wellconsidered changes.”
This is also a good opportunity to weed beds, loosen the soil and generally get things tidy before the spring growth spurt begins.
