Water less than you think- Overwatering is probably the easiest way to turn a healthy terrarium into a soggy disaster.

A closed terrarium needs surprisingly little water. After planting, mist lightly rather than pouring water into the container. Then watch the glass.
A small amount of condensation is normal. If the glass is permanently dripping wet, there is too much moisture. Open the lid temporarily and allow some of it to escape. If there is no condensation for an extended period and the growing medium is beginning to dry, add a little water.
