After winter, your lawn needs nutrients to support new leaf growth, colour and density. But timing matters. Fertilise when the lawn has started growing and there is enough moisture available. Feeding a dry or fully dormant lawn is not the best use of fertiliser.
Water the lawn before and after feeding, unless the product label gives different instructions. This helps move nutrients into the soil and reduces the risk of scorching. Always apply fertiliser evenly and follow the recommended application rate.
