4. Ivin purchased SA Boer goat stud rams to strengthen his breeding stud.
Desré is well known in South African Boer goat circles and lives in Vryburg, where she mentors Boer goat breeders. She supports more than 150 producers and also buys and sells SA Boer goats.
Ivin says he is working towards expanding the farm so that one day he can operate his own property. The current criteria do not allow this, as he and his wife are employed and his mother is a pensioner. Although he is already a successful livestock producer, he cannot apply for state land.
