What you see are wooden pallets used to ship goods from one place to another, but what you don’ t see is how vital pallets are to every single industry.“ Pallets move the world,” explained Annette Ferri,“ Without them, medicines, food, clothing, and everything in between would be less accessible.” As the VP of communications at the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association( NWPCA), Ferri’ s career is centered on pallets. And as a person just like you, her life is centered on them, too.

While most people overlook the important role pallets play in our lives, Ferri and the rest of the team at the NWPCA work hard to ensure the industry thrives. By bringing together pallet manufacturers, wood packaging professionals, and other key industry players, the NWPCA disseminates information around industry innovation, sustainability best practices, and operational efficiency opportunities.
To its 800 company members across 40 countries, the NWPCA is a vital source of information and resources. By publishing an industry-focused magazine, the organization makes it easy for its members to get what they need. For about 10 years, Ferri partnered with a niche publishing company to help bring the magazine to life, but just a couple of years ago, it became clear it was time to mix things up.
“ Things felt a little stale,” Ferri recalled.“ We needed to keep the magazine fresh and exciting so our members would come back to it, but it felt like we were stuck in a rut.” Like any good leader, she began looking for an alternate solution and found Tulip Media Group. A quick Google search opened the door, but it was her first meeting with Tulip’ s President, Trevor Arsenault, that sealed the deal.
Easy, Effective, Enjoyable
Immediately, Ferri felt at ease.“ Trevor was sincere and kind, and it was clear he knew what he was talking about,” she said. And that was just the start. It has only been a year since the NWPCA made the switch to Tulip Media Group, but that year exceeded all of Ferri’ s expectations. TMG’ s promise to its clients is to provide an easy, effective, and enjoyable experience – and the team delivers.
From project management to design, working with Tulip is a breeze.” Before making the switch, timing

and content alignment were ongoing challenges for the Pallet Central team.“ We’ d sometimes find ourselves scrambling to get everything done, and seasonal themes didn’ t always land the way we hoped by the time the magazine reached our readers,” Ferri shared.
Tulip quickly brought a new level of consistency and ease to the process. The magazine now lands in readers’ hands on time, every time— and the best part? The NWPCA team doesn’ t have to bend over backward to make it happen. With the production lift off her plate, Ferri can stay focused on strategy, member relationships, and internal communications.“ When it comes to being easy, effective, and enjoyable, Tulip knocks it out of the park,” she said with a smile.“ I’ ll hear one of the Tulip team members say,‘ Don’ t worry, we’ ll take care of it,’ and my stress level goes from a 10 down to a 1.”
“ It Feels Like a Top-Tier Publication”
Looking back at the last year of publications – all of which were published by Tulip – Ferri noted that they all look like they could be found in newsstands.“ The design is so polished, the images are crisp and engaging, and even the structure of each page is carefully constructed.” The Tulip team takes care of ad placement, color choices, and of course, content, but that doesn’ t mean Ferri is out of the loop on those decisions.
Whenever she has a question or concern, she knows that they’ ll welcome the dialogue, address her concern, and move forward even better than before. Sometimes, those interactions are simple – Ferri was curious why all the full-page advertisements were on the left side and, instead of brushing her off or taking a“ we know best” approach, Tulip partnered with her to figure out the best way to move forward.“ They told
