You want every one to feel safe and at ease with the team and yourself, essentially some one that they can count on.

Mutual trust is essential for members because they will understand that every one is on board and working towards the same goal exerting the same amount of effort. They need to trust that you are providing them the right guidance and what they are doing is important to the team’s goals. Shared understanding goes hand in hand with trust. Shared understanding confirms that everyone understands each other’s role and their individual role. It is essential to understand what is expected of themselves and the teams desired outcome.
10. lead by example
Most importantly as a manager who is a leader you must lead by example. Everything that you would want or expect out of your team must be exercised and displayed by yourself. No one wants to work with some one who says one thing and does the opposite. Provide an example to your team of what is expected. This will help eliminate excuses from others and promote mutual trust.
