A JANUARY TO REMEMBER
By: L. B. Joyce
The Plot:
It‟s been said third time‟s a charm
and Hannah Michaels was only hours
away from making this happen. The first
real date Sean had promised.
But then she did something so in-
credibly stupid. Stepping in front of a
speeding motorcycle, this sent her sailing
head-first into a parked car. Left with no
memory of the past two years of her life,
including Sean.
Raised to take over his family‟s cattle
ranch in Australia, baseball was Sean‟s first love. So, when he
received an offer to play for Cleveland, he‟d left the ranch to
fulfill this dream.
Never did he expect to take one look at Hannah, to have
her steal his heart. Nor, after returning from a trip home due to
a family emergency, did he think he‟d need to prove the love
they‟d shared before her accident was still theirs to have.
Will Sean‟s persistence pay off?

An Excerpt
For the first time in her life, she honestly felt she‟d found the
person she could lean on, the one person she could trust com-
pletely.
The person she wanted to be with for the rest of her life.
And now, their phone conversations were no longer enough.
She missed his smile. She missed his kisses. She even missed his
teasing comments. But most of all, she missed the feeling of his
arms around her, his heart beating next to hers.
She needed this.
More than she‟d ever needed anything.
She smiled, visualizing the look he would give her if he was
with her right now. It would be the look she‟d come to love, the
one that told her he knew exactly what she was thinking. And
that she‟d never have to worry… he would always be there for
her.
And you’d fall in love with him all over again.
