2 Project Objectives The objectives of the study are as follows: 1. Provide a snapshot of the SBSR sector which shall include industry trends and prospects 2. Determine the profile of the current and future workforce of the SBSR sector a. Design and implementation of a survey for the workforce in the sector. The development of the methodology and associated manual will be the basis in the future for the survey to be conducted periodically (annually, where possible). b. The surveys shall include information as follows: i. Number of jobs created, ii. Vacancy rates, iii. Hard-to-fill positions and critical jobs, iv. Automation, v. Future job creation, and c. The jobs most in demand should be highlighted for possible inclusion in the Critical Occupation List (COL). 3. Understand the demand of talent (skilled, semi-skilled and low-skilled) in the SBSR sector a. In line with Thrust 3 (Harnessing Talent) in the 11th Malaysian Plan. b. In accordance with the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) and MQA Standard 4. Identify talent gap based on supply and demand according to NOSS and MQA standards requirement 5.
