It’s that time of year again: pies as far as the eye can see could be
found at the Lennoxville Curling Club for “The Pie” Bonspiel on

Last Sunday afternoon the Oddfellows Lodge was invited to come check out the action at the Lennoxville
Curling Rink. This Lodge sponsors the Special Olympics Curling team, who recently celebrated their title

EASTER SERVICES
The Groveton/Stark Methodist Churches Easter services will
be as follows. There will be a
Good Friday service at the Fred
Benway home in Stark at 6 p.m.
An Easter sunrise service will
take place a the covered bridge
in Groveton at 6:30 a.m., followed by a breakfast at the
Groveton Church. Easter service
will be at the Stark Union
Church at 8:30 and in Groveton
at 10 a.m.
On Saturday, this group of ladies from small businesses and home
based businesses got together and held a craft show at 269 Queen St.

BISHOPS UNIVERSITY
Thursday evening, Centennial Theater on the Bishops University Campus came alive with
the music of Canadian country
music star George Canyon and
his band.
A while ago, “Firehouse Productions,” which is a group of
Sherbrooke Firefighters and
local business owners, got
together and booked George Canyon to come and put on a show to
help raise money for the 4-H
Club. Thursday evening, the fun
all started at 7 p.m. with an
interview backstage with Canyon. This fellow might be a big
star, but we found him to be a
very down to earth guy that
really has made his life in music.
He calls Alberta his home
where he owns a small ranch,
along with his wife and raises
cattle. He told us that his daughter also trains cutting horses. He
