We have a new court reservation system after we experienced a sudden shift in our court reservation system “ Tennisbookings ” when it was sold and discontinued with little notice . We researched several and selected a new system , CourtReserve , for Charbonneau , providing both pickleball and tennis reservations . Many thanks to our small team of volunteers that were able to complete the setup of the new reservation system on time . Thanks to : Stacy Naccachian , team leader , Lisa Wisthoff , Donna Roisom and Kathi Gray . The club will continue to go through changes and challenges as the Sports Center takes shape . Patience by everyone will see us through . Happy spring to everyone !

The Charbonneau Country Club May Annual Meeting is right around the corner , and with it comes the nomination and election of directors to serve threeyear terms on the board .

This is an important job , and it requires motivated individuals with strong leadership abilities and an understanding of the importance of serving the collective interests of our community .

For those who may be considering putting their names forward for nomination , the deadline to submit an application is March 13 . Information packets to guide you through that simple process are available at the front desk in the Activity Center . And for those who may be interested in a board position , as well as those who may not be aware of what the board does , here ’ s a snapshot of the responsibilities of the CCC board : It determines how the organization will carry out its strategic plan through long- and short-range planning , adopts an annual budget and provides fiscal oversight , recruits , orients , and develops board members , hires and evaluates the performance of the general manager and establishes policies for the effective management of the organization .

CCC board members have several important responsibilities , including :

� Understanding and promoting the organization ’ s core values , vision and goals

� Being familiar with the organization ’ s programs , policies and operations

� Attending board meetings and appropriate committee meetings

� Actively serving on at least one committee and offering to take on special assignments

� Reviewing agenda and supporting documents prior to meetings � Participating in special events � Keeping current on issues and developments in program areas

� Building a collegial working relationship with board colleagues that contributes to consensus

� Adhering to conflict of interest and confidentiality policies

Committee welcomes new member

The Communications Committee has added Nancy Browning to join fellow committee members Linda Owen , Tom Kells , Judi Hickman , Elaine Swyt and Larry Walker . Nancy has lived in Charbonneau for three years . She is a graduate of Oregon State University , and earned a master ’ s degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota . Nancy has worked for several Northwest companies in sales and human resources , and owned a large printing company , which she sold in 2016 . She does university fundraising , and likes to read , learn , enjoy family time , travel and play golf . Welcome Nancy !
