To fill out the top of the cake more , use Sky Blue with Loyal tip 4B and pipe a smaller shell border on the inside of the white shell border . If you ’ re wanting to add piping or details in the centre of the cake , omit this step as you may run out of space .
Next is some cute piping for our cherries ! Using white buttercream with Wilton 21 pipe some swirls for our cherries to sit atop of . I usually always stick to 5 swirls / cherries for my vintage cakes but you can add as many as you ’ d like ! I like to pipe my swirls on the main border of the top of my cake ; in this case , the white shell border to add height and drama .
