Board Member of the Month – Aaron Cheever , P . E .

Hello to all ASCE Members and readers of the ASCE-NH Monthly Newsletter . My name is Aaron Cheever , and I am currently ASCE-NH ’ s Past President . I have been a member of ASCE since my time as a student and have greatly enjoyed being a part of the Board of Directors over the last few years .

Though I reside in Lunenburg , MA , I was born and raised in Keene , NH . Looking back , Keene is where I gained my first exposure to the world of Civil Engineering . As a graduate of Keene High School , I was lucky enough to be able to take courses that were offered by the Cheshire Career Center . These career and technical education programs led me into the world of drafting , pre-engineering , and pre-CAD . I truly enjoyed these courses and this curriculum helped influence the selection of my major in college .

I am a graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover , MA , with a B . S . in Civil Engineering . Upon graduating I remained in MA , working at Tetra Tech as a Project Engineer . Over my seven years with the company , I was fortunate to be exposed to a diverse workload including Design-Build , Land Development , Transportation , and Global-Federal Projects . I then moved on to the public sector for a few years , working as a Public Works Engineer for the Town of Concord , MA . In 2014 , I began my current position as an Engineered Product Manager with Advanced Drainage Systems . In my current role , I am able to provide technical support / expertise regarding ADS Products to Engineers , Contractors , and Agencies throughout New England . Shameless plug – if you ever need any assistance with any ADS Products , please do not hesitate to contact me !

As mentioned earlier , I reside in Lunenburg , MA ; my wife , Eileen , and I have lived there with our dog since 2010 . As some people may know , in January of 2022 we welcomed our daughter , Shalane . All of my old hobbies have essentially been thrown out the window as my free time is now spent following a toddler around the house , moving things out of reach , picking up toys , cleaning up messes , not sleeping , etc .

I look forward to continuing to support ASCE-NH with Events in the coming years , despite my tenure with the Board coming to an end . As always – Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any ideas for the section or would like to get more involved !
