HOW WE STARTED

Cranston attorney William Gelfuso loved travel and started Anywhere , Inc . in 1972 as a sideline run by his assistant . Son Steven Gelfuso discovered the potential of cruising following a Semester at Sea at university and expanded the company with brother Russell in the basement of their father ’ s office .

Cruise Brothers combines both a retail leisure travel agency employing agents who have spent decades as “ part of the family ” and an ever-growing division called Cruising Free that trains people with a passion for travel into new travel agents at no cost to start their own home-based travel business .

Technology is taking Cruise Brothers to the next level by Steven ’ s son Jonathan who has partnered with the company ’ s CFO to develop a powerful intranet , making it easier for agents to book vacations , educate themselves and find exclusively negotiated pricing available at the touch of a button .
