In 2020 , Falvey was recognized as “ MGA of the Year ” at the Insurance Insider Honours , the international ( re ) insurance awards which recognizes property and casualty insurance market talent . Falvey was also recognized as a 2021 Common Good Award winner .
HOW WE STARTED
Falvey Insurance Group began in 1995 as Falvey Cargo Underwriting , with just two employees and a dedication to providing the most comprehensive cargo insurance policy available . As Falvey Cargo Underwriting grew , Mike Falvey ’ s vision expanded , and services and solutions were added for additional sectors in the insurance industry .

Our culture . As a family-owned business , tight-knit values are central within our organization and have not diminished despite our growth to 100 employees . Employee recognition , career development plans and internal events – like cookouts in the summer – are large focuses of our daily operations .
WHAT ’ S NEXT ?
Falvey plans to continue to find ways we can serve our customers by exploring new coverage solutions . We also plan to continue the expansion of our growing team and are currently hiring for various roles .
