www.newellstrength.com www.unlockingyourinnerstrength.com I am very open and decisive about what my philosophies are. And you know what? That in itself is fascinating to most people. Being vulnerable is not normal. Anything that is not normal is interesting to other people. Think also about how wishy-washy people are with their philosophies; that is the opposite of fascinating, it is plain old boring! You must also let your mind and heart take you where they desire to go. When I first became a voracious reader, I would sit up at night like a kid staying up past his bed time, reading Tony Robbins (Awaken the Giant Within) and my mind was beyond blown. He would mention a study or another book and then I would go and look that up and so on. I can trace all of my 700+ books to that beginning. Way leads onto way. How about this: never be bored and you will never be boring. Devon will tell you that my mind will ponder almost any situation we find ourselves in and will connect dots where no map seems to lie. I often go into unchartered territory; because of this, I am never, ever bored. I could not tell you the last time I thought to myself that I was bored. Remember how I said you shouldn’t suppress your curiosities? Suppressing them will only cause them to atrophy, wither and die on the vine. I am very, very fascinated about the paranormal. I have numerous books on Big Foot and would venture to say that I am an expert on the subject and yes, I have a very thought out theory about Big Foot and his origins and ours for that matter. This allows me to be able to have a conversation with third grade boys that are interested in the topic when I go into Devon’s classroom for a visit as well as a conversation on the same topic with my grandfather, Leo, a man that loves science. Way leads on to way. What the hell does Big Foot have to do with human strength? Absolutely nothing on the surface, except it keeps my brain humming along and it helps build my creative muscle. It does not matter that the two areas have nothing to do with each other, I follow my interests. You must learn the art of storytelling if you are going to be an interesting and fascinating character. Let’s suppose that you have built up your arsenal of characters and interests and have even read up a lot on those interests. But….you are a terrible story teller. All of your fascinating stories will again, go to waste. Knowing when to insert your story in a social setting is an art. How to know when to insert your story?
