PART 2 • The ribbon
When you're training and playing with Chess King, there are
three ways you can move pieces on the chess board. You can
select the method you like from the Settings dialogue.
Start by clicking the yellow
Menu button in the ribbon,
then click “Settings”:
A box near the upper right
corner of the Settings dialogue
lets you pick your preferred
way of moving the pieces:
• Drag 'n' Drop – in this method you'll use your mouse to left-click on a
piece and, while holding the mouse button down, move the piece to the
destination square and then release the mouse button.
• Two clicks – to move a piece, you'll click once on the piece you want
to move, then click a second time on the square to which you want to
move it.
• Intelligent – when you select a piece using this method, Chess King
will try to guess the proper destination square, highlighting the square
to which it thinks the piece should go. If the highlighted square is
correct, just release the mouse button and the piece will move to that
square. If you want to move the piece to a different square instead, just
move the piece to the square and release the mouse button (as you'd
do with the “Drag 'n' Drop” method).
