Students across the district were asked three questions : ( 1 ) What ’ s your favorite class ? ( 2 ) What do you want to be when you grow up ? ( 3 ) What is your favorite thing to do outside of school ? Read their answers below .
LUCAS CAVITT
Senior , Lake Ridge High
School
1 . My favorite class right now is my AV Practicum class at Ben Barber with Mr . Wood . Why I like the class so much is because it gives me the opportunity to get into an internship within the field that I want to do when I get older , which is videography .
2 . Long term I want to be a filmmaker . Basically , I want to be a videographer . I want to tell stories and help people not feel alone through my filmmaking abilities .
3 . My favorite thing to do outside of school is just to relax , hang out with friends , and go watch movies . I work on personal projects of mine to further enhance my video skills . I just enjoy this time I have as a senior and not let it go by .

1 . My favorite class is American Sign Language at Ben Barber . It ’ s a very inclusive class .
No one is seen as inferior or superior , we ’ re all equals in that class . It ’ s a very safe place for everyone .
2 . When I graduate , I want to do music . I write music . I started writing when I was 11 . I felt like I didn ’ t have anybody so I started writing music so that people could have somewhere to be and feel safe .
3 . Outside of school I like to write music . I play guitar , and I ’ m teaching myself how to play different instruments .

1 . Math – I just like doing math . I don ’ t know why . It ’ s easier . We ’ re learning how to do remainders right now . It ’ s actually very easy .
2 . I want to be a coder of some kind when I grow up . I ’ m just really good with computers and it ’ s something I like to do .
3 . Mainly call my friends and play games . We play normal games like Minecraft and Roblox .

1 . Art , because I really love to draw . I also like painting stuff .
2 . When I grow up , I want to be a volleyball coach because I love volleyball . I ’ m on a fifth- and sixth-grade team , and I play club .
3 . I love playing volleyball when I ’ m not in school .
