THREE EMPLOYEES NAMED HEARTBEAT AWARD WINNERS
The Heartbeat Award is presented to Mansfield ISD employees , nominated by their colleagues , who exemplify compassion and show heart both in their work and personal lives . Their leadership and actions serve as inspiration to those around them . This year ’ s recipients are Mico Rhines from Thelma Jones Elementary School , Camie Walker from Roberta Tipps STEAM Academy , and Jocelyn Hobdy from Cora Spencer Elementary School .
Mico Rhines Thelma Jones Elementary School
Mico Rhines has been with MISD for 19 years and has nearly 30 years of experience in education . She excels in building strong relationships and believes that education is the most fulfilling career . She is passionate about working with students , to help them become leaders and achievers .
Camie Walker Roberta Tipps STEAM Academy
Camie Walker has been part of Mansfield ISD for a decade , and currently serves as the integration coordinator and a pre-K and kindergarten technology teacher at Roberta Tipps STEAM Academy . Bringing her positive attitude to work each day , she enjoys fostering student learning through curiosity and discovery .
Jocelyn Hobdy Cora Spencer Elementary School
Jocelyn Hobdy has dedicated 18 years to Mansfield ISD and presently serves as the principal at Cora Spencer Elementary School . Her infectious positivity and spirited demeanor light up the room when she walks through the door . Her priority in life is to spread happiness and build a supportive community , enabling others to thrive . Grateful for life ’ s opportunities , she finds joy in influencing those around her to realize their fullest potential .
