Third- and fourth-grade literacy teachers like Miranda Smith of Alice Ponder Elementary , pictured above , made reviewing for the reading and language arts STAAR an engaging experience through STAAR- Bucks themed classroom transformations , challenging hands-on lessons , and exciting reward systems .
Mansfield ISD recently celebrated staff at the annual Employee Awards Banquet . Shining Star award winners , Heartbeat award winners , Teachers of the Year , employees who ’ ve reached a milestone and retirees were recognized at the event . Pictured above is Cindy Stephenson , who is retiring this year after teaching with MISD for more than 40 years . She began at Mansfield Middle School when it was still a campus . Then she moved to Rogene Worley Middle School in 1986 when the campus opened .
