Pulling Through


“ I am so proud of the amazing team members we have here in the MISD community .

At the start of Spring Break in

March 2020 , no one would have predicted that would be the last time in-person classes would be held for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year .
The coronavirus pandemic changed the way classes and events could be held , and it left school districts around the nation wondering how the 2019- 20 school year would end and what measures needed to be taken before the 2020-21 school year could begin .
In the summer , Mansfield ISD administrators started planning for and weighing all learning options while staying in close communication with state and local experts amid such a fluid situation .
Ultimately , the decision was made to offer in-person and virtual instruction for the 2020-21 school year . The first day of school was on Aug . 12 in a completely remote setting .
The first day of in-person learning , for those who chose that option , was Sept . 8 .
The school year has definitely proven to be a unique one ; but in the face of adversity , the strength of the MISD community shined through . Staff members , parents and community members have all pulled together for one common goal — to continue providing an excellent quality of education to MISD students .
