WHAT SCHOOLS DID YOU ATTEND?
I am a proud product of Mansfield ISD and
graduated from Mansfield High School
in 1989. I then attended Tarleton State
University and graduated with a bachelor’s
degree in exercise and sports studies plus
all grade level teaching certifications.

WHAT MAKES YOU SO PASSIONATE
ABOUT MANSFIELD ISD?
I’m so passionate about Mansfield ISD
because I feel compelled to give back what I
felt I have been given by the school district.
I received an excellent education that set
me up for success, and my family—children,
brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews—
are also proud products of Mansfield ISD.
My brothers and I work a lot for and with
children, and I want to make sure I am in a
position to provide the next generation with
the same educational success I received.
WHAT WOULD BE THE PERFECT
AFTERNOON FOR YOU?
I’m very close to my family, so my perfect
afternoon would be a family cookout
with all of my seven kids, my brothers,
sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
WHO WAS YOUR ROLE MODEL
AS A KID? WHY?
My mother and grandmother were and are my
biggest role models. They are strong, educated
women who also had their priorities intact.
They made sure to take care of their families,
their children and always put God first.
GIVE US A BRIEF BIO OF YOUR CAREER.
After graduating from college, I worked for
our family-owned business, Paragon Packaging
on Broad Street in Mansfield. In 1998, my
family opened up Utopia Fitness, which is also
in Mansfield. In 2016, I began working for
Cedar Hill ISD. Throughout the years, I’ve been
