Christian artist Crowder
will perform at The
Mansfield ISD Center for
the Performing Arts on
Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
as part of his national
“American Prodigal” tour.
The concert will feature
performances from
MISD choir students
as the opening act.
Proceeds from the event
will go toward the MISD
Center Arts Program, which
brings in art performances
and cultural events to MISD
students and the community.
Crowder, a Texas native,
solo studio album, “Neon
Steeple,” was released in
May of 2014 with the first
single, “I Am,” charting at
number three on the Billboard
Christian Songs chart.
Crowder will also teach a master class to
fine arts students before the concert.

MANSFIELD ISD CHOSEN FOR STATE
GOVERNANCE COHORT

ansfield ISD is one of
eight school districts
in Texas to be selected
as part of the inaugural
Lone Star Governance
(LSG) Exemplar Cohort.
The purpose of Lone Star
Governance is to provide a
continuous improvement
model for school board
members and their
superintendents focused
intensively on one primary
objective—improving
student outcomes.
School board members and
superintendents in the LSG
Exemplar Cohort will commit
to a year-long process with
the option of an additional
one-year extension. During
the year, district leadership
