So, describe Claudette Ubekha Charles?    I am an inquisitive free spirit, who is an adventurous, sometimes silly, big- hearted, self-aware, strong-willed, imaginative soul. In my ideal world, I would live by my own rules, eliminate clocks, sleep in the daytime and work at night. I would travel to every destination on the planet and write about it. Lol. An interesting person you are Bekha. So, where do you live now? I was born in St. Lucia, grew up in Brooklyn, lived in Fort Lauderdale for a number of years, and currently live in St. John’s Antigua.  Ahh, it isn't any wonder this globetrotter   considers herself a citizen of the world. So at   the age of 10 you left St. Lucia to reunite with your parents. What was your first day like in the Big Apple?   My sister and I arrived in February of 1978 in the middle of a blizzard, so getting used to the snow and the extreme cold was one of the most difficult things for us from the very start.   I can only imagine. What was it like seeing or playing in snow for the first time? The very next day after arriving, my sister and I padded up with our new snowsuits and mittens and went out to play in the snow.
