Taconic’ s 10th Summer Festival is around the corner! From Bach to jazz, from piano trio to string octet, from Young Artists chamber concerts to the Taconic Pops Orchestra, there truly is something for everyone in the four weeks of musical celebration. All chamber music concerts take place at Burr and Burton Academy’ s( BBA) Riley Center for the Arts in Manchester Village. The pops orchestra will be at Southern Vermont Arts Center’ s Arkell Pavilion. This year, thanks to a new and greatly improved box office system, they are pleased to offer flexible purchasing options, including Full Season and Chamber Music Subscriptions.

Southern Vermont Arts Center( SVAC) is thrilled to announce a major expansion of its historic Yester House, unveiling new opportunities for visitors to engage with Vermont’ s rich artistic heritage and cutting-edge contemporary work. SVAC’ s summer season kicks off with a Grand Opening, which includes a special ribbon cutting ceremony followed by live entertainment and gallery tours. At the heart of the expansion is the permanent home for For the Love of Vermont, the Lyman Orton Collection. Visitors will experience works presented in galleries designed to feel warm, layered, and connected to both their history and the surrounding landscape. Extending this vision is the Van Degna Gallery, a new lower-level exhibition space designed for national-scale and rotating contemporary exhibitions. Its debut exhibition will feature photographer Dona Ann McAdams, whose socially engaged and humanistic work resonates with the spirit of Vermont. Visitors will also enjoy a new roof terrace and state-of-the-art collection storage, enhancing both public and behind-the-scenes experiences.

Weston Theater Company proudly announces its 90th Anniversary Season, a milestone summer featuring iconic music, Pulitzer-winning drama, Broadway stars, and new works. Weston has grown from a small-town tradition into one of New England’ s most respected professional theaters. Season 90 honors that legacy while looking boldly toward the future. The season opens with the revival of a Weston favorite, Ring of Fire, which journeys through the life, love, and legacy of Johnny Cash( June 10 to July 5). In July, Weston marks the 30th anniversary of Jonathan Larson’ s groundbreaking rock musical RENT( July 22 to August 16). In August, the 2024 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Primary Trust by Eboni Booth will be featured( August 26 to September 6). Multi-generational fun takes center stage with Weston’ s Free Young Company touring production of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Smart and silly, this high-energy musical brings the beloved songs of TV’ s Emmy Award-winning Schoolhouse Rock to life( June 19 to June 28).
