Monument Arts and Cultural Center( MACC) presents A Bennington Christmas Carol, a new musical written by Brian Haner based on the classic Charles Dickens tale – with a twist. It’ s everything you’ ve always loved about the story, but set in 1926 Bennington, VT. Familiar town family names and places are intertwined with the quintessential story of redemption. Along with twelve brand new songs that bring the story to life- Molly Stark, Norman Rockwell, and Robert Frost lead Benedict Gaines on a ghostly path to salvation. Wintertime is beautiful at Hildene, and their 12 miles of trails are a wonderful way for guests( with the purchase of admission) to experience the property. The trails are of varying levels of difficulty, all natural, and ungroomed. Guests may find their walking shoes, hiking boots, ice cleats, Nordic skis, or snowshoes variably appropriate as conditions change. For those needing rental equipment, several Nordic centers and shops are in the vicinity, including The Mountain Goat on Main Street in Manchester. Ringing in the New Year isn’ t just for adults! Want to celebrate the arrival of 2026 but bedtime is at 8pm? No problem! Put on your party clothes and head over to the Bennington Museum as they welcome in the“ Noon” Year with music, party hats, noisemakers, sparkling grape juice, and the countdown to Noon!
Admission is $ 5 / child. Adults are welcome to join the party at no charge. Registration is not required. The Museum is normally closed on Wednesdays, but they are opening up just for this special occasion, so put on your festive party hats and we’ ll see you there! Head over to Bromley Mountain on Valentine’ s Day for fireworks, a torchlight parade, and live music from 6pm to 9pm! You’ ll end up dancing the night away with live music by KALE before and after the fireworks display. The torchlight parade will start at 6pm, with fireworks at 6:30pm.
