The inn was purchased by its current owners , Don and Ann Pollard , in 2012 . Upon acquiring the Inn , the Pollards embarked upon an ambitious renovation campaign , and they enlisted the services of the husband-and-wife architect and designer duo David Mooney and Nina Mooney . Nina Mooney served as the chief interior designer for the renovation project . She says that the Pollards ’ original intention was to rebuild a beautiful sanctuary that they could both enjoy with friends and rent out to the public .
“ The project has gone through many iterations ,” notes Nina Mooney . “ When we did the initial renovation , we tried to honor the structure of the original inn building . We ended up constructing an addition on the main inn and we updated the small annex building , as well .” The barn where the Grange restaurant now stands was originally constructed to house farm equipment . Its use shifted mid-construction to house an event space , and the Pollards began hosting weddings and cocktail parties there . “ Most recently , we added onto the barn to make it a full restaurant with a wood-burning pizza oven and full bar ,” says Mooney . “ It ’ s been a long and rewarding journey .”
During the renovation process , the Mooneys and the Pollards pulled artifacts that they found in the barns and incorporated them throughout the spaces in the main inn and four surrounding cottage outbuildings . The living room in the main inn features
