Human  Papillomavirus:  There  are  more  than  100  types  of  HPV  and  some  of  them  may   put  you  in  risk  of  cancer.  These  types  affect  genitals  and  are  contracted  by  sexual  contact  with   and  infected  partner.  Low-‐risk  HPV  cause  genital  warts  while  High-‐risk  HPV  cause  cancers  of   the  cervix,  vulva,  vagina,  and  anus  in  women  and  in  men  can  lead  to  cancers  of  the  anus  and   penis.  The  genital  warts  can  be  treated  or  removed  by  a  doctor.  While  there  is  no  cure  for  HPV,   vaccines  for  this  virus  greatly  reduce  the  probability  of  contracting  the  infection. Syphilis: Bacteria  that  infect  genital  area,  lips,  mouth,  or  anus  of  both  men  and  women   cause  this  disease.  It  is  contracted  during  sexual  contact  with  an  infected  person  and  also  a   pregnant  woman  can  pass  it  to  her  baby.  Lots  of  people  do  not  experience  symptoms  for  a   while  and  the  First  stage  are  some  painless  sores  and  swelling  in  lymph  nodes.  If  it  is  not   treated,  a  non-‐itchy  rash  appears  on  hands  and  feet.  Symptoms  may  come  a  go  for  a  long  time.   The  sores  that  syphilis  cause  makes  it  easier  for  a  person  to  give  someone  HIV  during  sex.  If   pregnant,  babies  can  have  horrible  defects  and  even  die.  It  is  easily  to  cure  with  antibiotics  if  it   is  diagnosed  rapidly. If  you  contract  STDs  caused  by  bacteria  or  parasites  you  can  cure  them  with  antibiotics  but   when  contracting  STDs  caused  by  viruses,  there´s  no  cure  at  all.    It  is  recommended  to  have   protected  sex  to  avoid  these  infections  that  will  damage  your  body  for  the  rest  of  your  life.   Latex  condoms  are  recommended  because  they  greatly  reduce,  but  do  not  completely   eliminate,  the  risk  of  catching  or  spreading  STDs.  If  you  think  you  have  done  something  that   may  put  you  at  risk,  you  should  immediately  attend  your  doctor  to  have  a  test  and  see  if  you   contracted  an  infection  and  take  a  treatment  to  control  it  faster.
