Sexually Transmitted Diseases Sexually  transmitted  diseases  are  severe  illnesses  that  are  passes  among  humans  by  means  of   sexual  behavior  like  vaginal  intercourse,  anal  sex  and  oral  sex.  Aside  from  sexual  intercourse,   using  IV  drug  needles  after  being  infected  by  someone  else’s  blood,  childbirth  and   breastfeeding  can  also  contract  STD´s.    Bacteria,  parasites  and  viruses  cause  these  infections.   The  problems  that  the  infections  present  are  harsh  for  both  men  and  woman  but  most  of  the   time  woman  have  more  severe  cases  than  man. Chlamydia:  Bacteria  cause  this  disease  so  it  means  it  can  be  cured  with  special  treatment.   Normally  there  are  no  symptoms  for  chlamydia  but  sometimes  they  can  be  presented  by   causing  a  burning  feeling  while  urinating  or  abnormal  discharges  from  the  vagina  or  penis.   Chlamydia  infects  the  urinary  track,  in  women  it  can  lead  to  pelvic  inFlammatory  disease,  which   can  cause  infertility  and  pregnancy  problems.  In  men,  the  epididymis  is  infected  causing  lots  of   pain,  fever,  and  in  some  causes  infertility.  SpeciFic  antibiotics  will  cure  the  infection. Gonorrhea:  This  bacterium  infects  the  genital  tract,  mouth,  or  anus  most  common  in  young   adults  during  vaginal,  oral,  or  anal  sex  with  an  infected  partner.  A  pregnant  woman  can  pass  it   to  her  baby  during  childbirth.  Symptoms  in  men  cause  pain  when  urinating  and  discharge  from   the  penis.  If  untreated  it  can  cause  problems  with  the  prostate  and  testicles.  In  women,   bleeding  between  periods,  pain  when  urinating,  and  discharge  of  the  vagina.  Gonorrhea  is   treated  and  cured  with  antibiotics. Genital  Herpes:  This  disease  is  caused  by  a  herpes  simplex  virus  (HSV)  contracted  by   having  sex  and  oral  sex.  The  virus  can  spread  even  though  sores  are  not  present  in  the  body   and  mothers  can  infect  their  babies  during  childbirth.  It  produces  sores  on  your  genital  or   rectal  area,  buttocks,  and  thighs.  These  symptoms  are  called  outbreaks;  they  turn  into  blisters,   become  itchy  and  painful,  and  then  heal.  The  virus  will  stay  in  your  body  for  the  rest  of  your  life   but  the  outbreaks  will  burst  just  several  times  a  year.  There  is  no  medicine  to  cure  genital   herpes  but  to  help  Fight  the  virus  by  lessening  symptoms,  decrease  outbreaks,  and  lower  the   risk  of  passing  the  virus  to  others. AIDS:  The  HIV  virus  that  produces  this  infection  kills  and  damages  the  body’s  immune   systems  cells.  This  virus  is  mostly  spread  by  having  unprotected  sex  with  and  infected  person   and  also  by  having  blood  contact  by  infected  needles  of  other  persons.  Women  can  pass  the   virus  to  their  baby  during  pregnancy.  The  First  signs  of  infectio
