Back in 2013 , during my time in the media industry , Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) emerged as an exciting trend , filled with untapped potential and opportunities . However , at that time , we could only speculate about what AI ' s impact would look like . Many media houses adopted a wait-and-see approach , unsure of how to navigate the challenges stemming from the rapidly evolving digital era .
Even today , the media industry continues to grapple with these issues , struggling to adapt to the demands of the new age . As we move forward , it is imperative for marketers and strategists to not only address the present challenges but also embrace and optimize upcoming technological advancements , such as the advent of Web 3.0 .

In my April Issue ’ s article on this column , I introduced Artificial Intelligence . As a recap , AI refers to the development of computer systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence . These tasks include speech recognition , decisionmaking , problem-solving , and natural language processing . AI can be categorized into two types : narrow AI and general AI . Narrow AI focuses on specific tasks , while general AI aims to replicate humanlevel intelligence across a broad range of activities .

Deep Learning focuses on training artificial neural networks to learn and make predictions or decisions . The term " deep " refers to the multiple layers of interconnected nodes ( also known as neurons ) in these neural networks .
