Encourage Positivity challenged as those who just
spend money without focusing
on the return on investment.
In today’s world metrics are
commonly used to measure key
parameters, including business
results.
There is a quote that says, “Once
you replace negative thoughts with
positive ones, you will start having
positive results.” Positivity allows
the mind to see all the possibilities.
What seems impossible can be
overcome with effort and the right
attitude. A marketer needs to assist teams
to be accountable for performance
and what better way to do that
than to include it in a coaching
conversation where allowing
people to be accountable and
holding them accountable will
drive this process.
This would be a great way to
get sales teams on board when
marketers are rolling out new
campaigns or brands, to get them
to see the potential of the market
and how targets can be achieved. The coaching conversations do
not have to be formal coaching
sessions although this could also
be useful. The idea here is to
use coaching skills, in different
conversations under various
circumstances, as and when the
need arises to drive change, build
relationships and ultimately drive
growth in the business.
This is something a marketer really
needs to cultivate as many times,
he works with sales teams that may
have several different objectives to
achieve.
