District 1 Report
By Allen Thomas
Festivals are in the air all around and on January 21, high school students from all over District 1 gathered at Noble High School to perform to a full house. Of course making a festival run smoothly doesn’ t happen by accident. Many thanks to Cathy Murray and Jane Kirton for ensuring a flawless audition process, to our managers Matthew Murray, Chris Ferrell and Kyle Smith and to our gracious hosts, Rebecca Dewan and Mark Mumme and their hard working students and staff. We had excellent conductors-unique and talented in their own ways; Dr. Cory Ganschow from Western CT State
