Centennial Happenings

Did you know that Maine has one of the oldest music education organizations in the entire country. Celebrating 100 years( 1917-2917) calls for a celebration and we have started the celebration with the performances of the Centennial Compositions.
In January, at the Jazz All State festival, the first two commission works were premiered:
Remind Me of You by Darmon Meader was commissioned to celebrate the centennial of MMEA. Mr. Meader wrote this as a love song to the beauty of Maine, without mentioning the name of the state in the lyrics. This
