With regards the Ladies’ club, KB has been great to work with through the year, especially at the start with so many new faces joining both clubs. What was particularly pleasing was her support for the continuation of Operation Building Bridges. Down to this plan, which thankfully gained full support from the 4 social secs, many people have had a lot of enjoyment throughout the year. None more so than Ed who finally managed to move on from his ex (and despite a brief downfall when he sacked an away day to go and meet her for coffee) he’s managed to find himself a new girlfriend. But on a more serious note the clubs are genuinely the closest I’ve ever seen them during my three years here, and hopefully this will continue into future years.
I’d also like to mention Zoe for all the hard work she put in with Kenji for Hockey Ball 2015. It often goes un-noticed just how much organisation goes into events such as these, and I’m sure everyone will have an amazing time. Also a huge congratulations on getting president for next year, that’s a great achievement.
Finally a personal thank-you to everyone in the club. Sat in AGM I just couldn’t understand where a whole year had gone. I already know that moving on will be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and that’s purely down to all the people here. Our clubs are fantastic to be a part of and I really envy those of you who have more than a few months remaining, so thank you everyone for making it such a fantastic year. Best of luck to you all, and under the guidance of Eeyore and Zoe I’m sure you’ve got a great time ahead!
