Teaching Pronunciation:
Vowel: /i/ and /I/
Materials:
List of vocabulary words seen on class.
Instructions:
1.The students will sit in a circle.
2.The teacher will tell the first student whispering one of the two sounds studied.
3. The students has to come up with a sentence that contains a word with that sound. Based on the vocabulary seen in class.
4.When the student says the sentence the rest of the class has to guess the sound the student was told to s ay.
5. If the student does not say a word containing the sound he or she was told they get eliminated.
Activity #7
1. The students will sit in a circle.
2.The teacher will tell the first student whispering one of the two sounds studied.
For example: Teacher: short I
student: I lived in an orange house.
3. When the student says the sentence the rest of the class has to guess the sound the student was told to say.
Class: Short /I/ sound.
4.This will continue until the teacher says so or until 5 kids get eliminated.
