Welcome to the new MCAs who passed their MCA exam in April 2023 .

We had a great turnout for the April MCA exam . Many people came well-prepared , and we want to congratulate all the new MCAs ! The committee is always trying to improve the MCA program and we did some informal exit interviews to learn more about candidate ’ s expectations , their preparation , and their experience taking the exam . Thank you for those that hung around after taking the test to have these conversations ! This feedback is certain to help future examinees .
We also wanted to share information regarding annual recertification deadlines to maintain your MCA . The deadline of February 15 for submission of recertification credits remains unchanged . However , the late grace period has been shortened and now extends only until September 1 ( with $ 50 late fee ). This means that if someone does not turn in a recertification form by September 1 for the previous year , they will be automatically expired . Email and hard copy mail alerts will be sent in advance . Please do not ignore these alerts . And be sure to keep a correct email and mailing address in your MAA account .
The MAA makes getting the necessary recertification credits easy . Remember that there is always an online year-long safety credit available along with all the in-person education .
Considering getting your MCA ? The MCA exam remains a great way for people to level up their knowledge , education , professionalism and take a great step forward in their career . We anticipate the October exam to fill up quickly so be sure to sign up early .
