President’s Message Greetings MAA members! We’re happy to be back to regular publication of our popular MAA newsletter. March through August are pretty much a blur for me, and I suspect many of you feel the same way. Words like adapt, pivot, and navigate have become all too familiar. As the MAA’s president, never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined I would be part of conversations that determined what services are considered essential in a pandemic; or ways we can continue to provide educational opportunities to our members on a virtual platform; or how we, as a professional community, can listen and change to better address social inequities. Through all of these monumental challenges, MAA’s volunteer leaders, committees, members, and management team have risen to the occasion. We have adapted, we have pivoted, and we have navigated through a time of extraordinary change. I am beyond confident that we will continue to grow and advance as an organization, and as an industry.
