MCA Update
The MCA Committee hosted three exam sessions in Medfield on October 9 and 10. The scope of knowledge required to pass the MCA exam is extensive, and this group came exceptionally well prepared. Congratulations to our newest MCAs, and kudos to everyone who took the exam— many for the first time!
A special thank-you goes out to our dedicated MCA Committee volunteers: Julie Clements, MCA; Kat Cummings, MCA; Lorraine Fountain, MCA; Susan Hamilton, MCA; and Steve Vernon, MCA. Your expertise, time, and commitment are deeply appreciated. Your ongoing efforts ensure that our nationally recognized certification program remains both relevant and forward focused.
As we approach the end of the year, current MCAs should review their credit totals and plan to complete any outstanding requirements. There are several upcoming opportunities to earn continuing education credits at MAA and other industry events. And don’ t forget— if you still need Electrical Hazard Awareness Training, MAA continues to offer the three-part webinar series presented by Dr. John Ball.
Looking ahead, the MCA Committee will spend the winter updating portions of the exam to keep content fresh and aligned with current industry standards. The next exam sessions will take place on April 9 & 10, 2026, and tend to fill up quickly— so be sure to register early!
