In this issue, we have some great information to help you
navigate the industry and learn from the experts.
The cannabis community in Michigan is closely knit, and that
shows in our article on the local efforts behind Michigan’s first
Commercial Cannabis Conference & Expo scheduled for late
October. We also look at the financial side of the marijuana
industry, from the headway large corporations are making
into the marijuana business to the wild world of IPOs. And
the courts were busy this summer addressing issues that
may affect your marijuana business. We’ve summarized a few
cases that should be on your radar screen.
And as most of you know, this has been an interesting quarter
for updates from LARA! We have many more step-one
approvals in the licensing process and even some step-two
approvals. Hopefully the momentum will build from here. The
bigger news is the new emergency rules and the implications
of the new rules. These new rules are certain to change the
game for many companies!
