Finding that perfect handbag can be extremely difficult, not only is a handbag a true reflection of one’ s self but it’ s also a fashion statement. The colour, the material and of course the shape all represent our personality which, depending on our mood changes add to that our desire to want to be associated with high-end luxurious brand name who is ethical and you can understand why finding that perfect bag can become an almost impossible task.
But not anymore, last year two entrepreneurial sisters, Melissa and Karen García Llamas from Columbia launched their new handbag range Kalamarie Handbags. The designs are a mix of couture with a fusion of the mystical, inspired by their birthplace Cartagena. Cartagena was previously known as Calamari and the sisters tweaked the spelling to represent their initials, K & M.
The handbags ooze sophistication, yet have a modern, urban edge which the sisters say was inspired by their experiences of living as professionals in the west their trademark gecko adds a touch of charm and authenticity of the homeland to the pieces

1. Josephine Saddle- Navy Blue Leather. This beautiful bag features a croc lid that flips over ¾ of the body of the handbag. It also features a croc top handle and a leather shoulder strap.
2. The Amelie Mini Box Bag. The shape of the Amélie was inspired by our favorite film heroine, Amelie Poulin. Amélie’ s quirky style, preppy-meets-Parisian-chic, screamed out for a little box, full of fun and character.

4. EDE Satchel- Burgundy Leather. The Ede is a beautiful, multifunctional satchel, of sharp shape and lines to the most delicate and feminine possible effect. It was inspired by the urban, multi-tasking woman, who needs a handbag to fulfil different functions – work bag by day, evening clutch come night-time.
