En venant à l’ île Maurice, Michaël Ruel ne s’ est pas trompé! Fort de son expérience dans l’ immobilier et l’ exploitation hôtelière, il a lancé le groupe MJ Développement en France en 2007 avec son ami et associé Jean Etchepareborde – le duo est complété par un acteur de référence, l’ industriel français côté en bourse, Jean-Louis Desjoyaux( Groupe Piscines Desjoyaux), actionnaire historique. Le groupe MJ Développement affiche désormais un solide ancrage à Maurice avec un chiffre d’ affaires de plus de 50 millions d’ euros réalisé en moins de 3 ans d’ implantation sur l’ île. Avec deux projets immobiliers menés de front, MJ Développement a donné le bon tempo à une saga française qui a traversé les océans pour se fondre dans le paysage mauricien. Marguery Exclusive Villas, lancé en 2014 à Rivière Noire, rencontre un succès commercial immédiat: 100 % du parc vendu en 18 mois et une exploitation hôtelière en constante progression depuis son lancement en avril 2017. En 2017, direction la côte nord avec le projet Mythic Grand Gaube- Conciergery & Resort, un resort de villas, d’ appartements et penthouses avec services hôteliers construit sur l’ ancienne propriété de Jean-Pierre Chaumard( longtemps directeur de l’ hôtel Royal Palm). Nouvelle réussite! 80 % du parc vendu en moins de 10 mois soit 24 biens sur les 29 à la vente. La livraison et le lancement de l’ exploitation hôtelière sont prévus pour fin 2019. MJ Développement a choisi de s’ entourer de talents mauriciens comme les architectes Nicolas Paturau et Jean-Marc Eynaud ou le cabinet ETWARO pour le suivi technique de ses projets. 2018 sera l’ année d’ un troisième projet d’ envergure, « construit sur un emplacement exceptionnel de l’ île », nous précise le promoteur. Le secret sera précieusement gardé jusqu’ au lancement prévu fin 2018 … Un nouveau projet à suivre de près!

A third key figure has then joined the duet as a historical stakeholder – French manufacturer Jean-Louis Desjoyaux whose Group, Piscines Desjoyaux, is listed on the Paris stock market. MJ Développement Group has definitely secured a solid anchorage in Mauritius with more than a 50-million-euro turnover in less than 3 years of activity on the island. Its two artfully-led property projects have confirmed the beginning of a French saga, one which has crossed the oceans to settle in the Mauritian landscape. The 2014 Marguery Exclusive Villas launch in Black River has met an immediate feat with the entire park being sold out in 18 months and a constant progress in hotel management since its launch in April 2017. 2017 has then been the year for a new setting: the north coast with Mythic Grand Gaube- Conciergery & Resort with hotel services. The villas, apartments and penthouses are nestled on the former estate of long-time Royal Pam director, Jean-Pierre Chaumard. A new accomplishment with 80 % of the park sold in less than 10 months, that is, 24 of the 29 properties on sale! Delivery and hotel management launch are now forecast for end of 2019. Another wise step for MJ Développement has been the choice of Mauritian talents to back up its projects such as architects Nicolas Paturau and Jean-Marc Eynaud and ETWARO agency for the technical follow-up. As for 2018, it has started with a third grand-scale project, « built in an exclusive setting on the island », as underlines the developer.
