Splendido occupies a former 16thcentury Benedictine monastery on a hillside above Portofino. Following a multiyear renovation by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, it reopened with Italy’ s first permanent Dior Spa, extending a collaboration that had begun with two summer seasons in the hotel’ s gardens. Set across two floors, the spa has four treatment rooms, including a couples’ suite overlooking the sea, and a rooftop terrace with a wellness bar. Its quartzite, oak and soft lime interiors recall Christian Dior’ s summer homes in Granville, Milly-la- Forêt and La Colle Noire, with details inspired by Toile de Jouy. The signature Splendidior treatment uses semiprecious stones to encourage deep relaxation before a rock crystal massage and facial. La Dolce Vita Therapy combines yoga in the gardens with a relaxing body massage and radiance-enhancing facial, creating a halfday ritual shaped by Portofino’ s landscape.
The Aman Spa- Amanyara, Turks & Caicos
Amanyara’ s name combines the Sanskritderived word for peace with yara, meaning place in the language of the Arawak Amerindians. Set beside Northwest Point Marine National Park, the resort lies within an 18,000-acre nature reserve, with wellness shaped by its secluded coastal setting. The Aman Spa includes four treatment pavilions, a relaxation pavilion, outdoor yoga sala and pool, while therapists pair global practices with island healing traditions, organic coconut oil and ingredients sourced from the Caribbean Sea. Visiting specialists lead programs in therapeutic bodywork, sports performance, stress management, mindfulness and meditation throughout the year. The one-day Power of Nature Wellness Immersion combines private consultations, movement and spa therapy, drawing on Amanyara’ s defining natural elements: water, sunlight and the Caribbean trade winds. �
