Becoming an integral part of a community

Be prepared to have instant neighbors. As you live in a condo, you and other condo unit owners become a solid part of a community. Normally, condo unit owners hang out with each other. But if you are a private individual looking for a more solitary place, condo living might not be the best option for you. Condo living is great if you want to socialize and mingle with other people.

Making joint decisions

Accept that you are going to make decisions with other condo residents pertaining to the maintenance of the whole building. Each decision made will greatly affect other condo unit owners so you will have to ask for other people's opinions on important matters concerning the living conditions of your condo building. Though you can take necessary steps to have your ideas heard over the din of the building, be ready to be outvoted by others and not to take it too personally.
