Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their
adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America gather for a week of faith formation
known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent
in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service, and
fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged
and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.
This year the Lutheran Church of Mahomet is excited to
bring 9 young people and 3 adults to the ELCA’s Houston
Youth Gathering. This group will be travelling to Texas
this summer to participate in “This Changes Everything”,
the 2018 activity theme. We’re so excited to hear and see
how this trip works in the lives of those attending, and we
can’t thank the congregation enough for all their support
in ensuring that this group will be able to go.
