Every year, rostered leaders and lay
leaders alike come together from
across the Central/Southern Illinois
Synod to pass budgets, discuss local
and churchwide ministries, and
share in worship. This year, this is
all happening right in our back yard,
at the I-Hotel in Champaign! We
need your help to make this event
happen: we need 10-12 volunteers to
work the registration table on June 7
(Thursday) from 10:30 AM-3PM,
snacks and lunch will be provided.
We also need lots of prayers! We
welcome all the words you would
like to lift to God; but, if you want a
place to start, please use the follow-
ing prayer:
God, you have called gifted and
dedicated lay and rostered leaders
to our Synod’s congregations and
ministries. Bless them now as they
gather in Champaign for this year’s
Synod Assembly: grant them
wisdom, vision, energy, and
compassion, so that they might
faithfully care for the ministries to
which they have been called. Amen.
