Rev. Amy Thoren is the pastor of
St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church,
which is an ELCA congregation
on the U-of-I Campus in
Champaign/Urbana. We are
pleased to welcome her to
preach for us on the morning of
June 3. After worship, we
encourage all high schoolers
and college students to join
Pastor Amy for ice cream and a free-wheeling
discussion about campus ministry and how to live out
one’s faith in a college setting.
The Lutheran Church of Mahomet
would like to invite your family to
a
class on Wednesday June 13th, at
5:30PM. Together, we will learn
about Holy Communion and share
a
meal. This is a wonderful
opportunity for families seeking
to bring their children to this
Holy Meal for the first time, as
well as those who would simply
like a refresher course on the subject. This class is
designed for 3-7 year olds, and together we will explore
stories from Jesus’ ministry, watch videos, bake
bread, have dinner, and practice receiving the elements.
